BB Sabina blend their dark synthwave with the post-noir-punk of Low Monroe & The Fugitives for an enveloping and moody afternoon at The Gem. Celebrating the release of Naarm three-piece BB Sabina’s single Multitude, a sprawling journey of shimmering yet driving synth, atmospheric bass and unyielding drums. “Multitude explores what it means to contain many facets and contradictions and to be in a constant state of flux - the beauty and magic of this. It’s a reflection on queerness, gender and beyond.” Low Monroe & The Fugitives are arguably Naarm’s most wanted post-punk act at this point in time. With a heavy heart on noir symbolism while blending goth rock with subtle undertones of dark jazz, the group have been spreading the word through energetic and ominous performances across the state. Labeled as ‘Post-Noir-Punk’, it definitely may be worth your while stepping into the hazy world that Low Monroe & The Fugitives reside in.
