Barefoot Bowls Club are a home grown three piece from the south east suburbs of Melbourne singing relatable indie bops at every pub across town. Their previous releases, Avo Toast & Debt and Passing out on the Pakenham line, explored the dreaded feeling of a looming hex debt as well as drunk and disorderly behaviour. But, their much anticipated EP covers much more, in the same charming yet comedic fashion. ‘Barefoot Bowling’ by Barefoot Bowls Club canvasses mental health, Tinder, growing up and the importance of sunscreen through honest songwriting over the 5 track EP.
To celebrate the release, Barefoot Bowls Club are hosting an EP launch party at Yah Yah’s on April 19th. Kicking off the night will be the ultimate 60’s psych supergroup Polly and the Pockets as well as Melbourne’s finest garage trio Jungle Breed. So put on your freshly ironed, beer stained, off white leisure gear and prepare for a night that will bowl you over.
