APPLEMAN is the eclectic culmination of pianist/creative artist Spencer Hughes. His composition is informed by his multi-disciplinary work delving into film and photography. His roots exist in hip-hop/jazz styles evolving towards afro-cuban styles. So far, Appleman has released an array of short EPʼs delving into solo production and short films. Currently they are gigging the Apple Quintet which features drumkit, congas, bass, keys and vocals. APPLE QUINTET features Maximillion Hazeldine (drum), Angus Ingram (bass), Matt Millsom (percussion) and Dean Kalait (Saxophone). ?
ORA is a self-taught artist from Naarm, a producer and multi-instrumentalist, film-maker and visual artist. Having fronted a myriad of bands to living in perpetual studio mode for the last few years, he has worked with some of this countries most prodigious artists, the last few years pushing his skill-set as a multi-instrumentalist solo act. Using a bunch of self-recorded samples, drum-machine, keys and synth, guitar and bass, he has shaped a truly unique genre-bending set of songs, in the disciplines of soul music, electronic music and experimental chaos. A new record is in the works, the first single will be slated for release by August 2022.
