Melbourne power pop group Supermodels hit the Gaso Upstairs stage on January 27 to raise funds for their upcoming debut album. Combining a love for pop formalism and punky rock and roll clatter, the Mods create a potent sound that shows debts to Elvis Costello, Big Star, The Replacements and Nick Lowe. They have been hard at work on their debut album, set for release early 2023. Joining them on the Gaso stage will be alternative rock four-piece Operation Karma and blues-punk combo Dead Rodeo.
