With powerhouse vocals, captivating lyrics, and a killer band at her back, ALLIPHA is an emerging singer-songwriter making waves in the Melbourne music scene. Expect to be drawn in by her original blend of rock and soul, and with a splash of 60s and 70s ballad-y goodness thrown in for good measure - don’t be surprised if you can’t resist the urge to boogie! Following the success of her first single, “Minds On Fire”, fans are eagerly awaiting the follow up release in March, with a fresh debut EP not far away either. As well as supporting artists such as Samsaruh, Brayden Sibbald and Rya Park, ALLIPHA has also been working with Callum Howell - renowned producer, engineer and mixer of Ocean Alley. “Breathy and sweet, it feels like (she’s) stepped onto the internet from another era” – Tommy Faith (Triple J Unearthed) Straight from the heart and packing a punch, ALLIPHA has carved out a sound that is all her own, one that is sure to leave a lasting impression on audiences for years to come.

Tex Perkins has played a key role in Australian music It’s understandably difficult to pull together a coherent picture of a man whose career has taken in everything from the groundbreaking experimental punktonica of Sydney mid-80s noiseniks Thug to the lilting, dark country of his recent material with the Dark Horses. From the hard edged pub rock of the Beasts Of Bourbon’s, a snarling slice of filthy pub rock to the evocative soundscapes of The Cruel Sea, whose extraordinary 1991 single ‘This Is Not The Way Home’ placed Perkins’ world-weary growl in a new musical context and heralded the emergence of an entirely original yet archetypically Australian sound.
