Alexander William is the name used by Gold Coast-based alternative folk musician Alexander William Evans. Drawn in at a young age by the likes of Leonard Cohen, Damien Rice, Ben Howard and others, Alexander formed his warm tones that speak of love, loss, freedom, activism and his experience of the World. 2019 has been a big year so far for Alex and guitarist Tom, and has seen them supporting acts such as The Sons of the East, Riley Pearce and Kodaline. Indie meets Folk in this lyrically driven fusion that will simultaneously leave your heart aching and craving more. It won’t be long before the act is known on a larger scale, so come see them perform live at Wesley Anne 23rd June.

Nancie Schipper announces debut headline band shows this June in Melbourne and Warrnambool, also appearing solo at Neck Of The Woods Music Festival Townsville. Having now finished high school, Schipper is back with a new single this May that encapsulates the idea of looking after your friends, asking them to check in and ‘call when you get home’. Produced by John Castle (Vance Joy, Angie McMahon), ‘When You Get Home’ is the follow up to last years ‘Long Fall’, which was added to spot rotation on triple j and has racked up 100,000 streams on Spotify.
