The Jazz Alchemists

On bass Phil Rex. Phil has toured extensively with Albare in 2013-14, you can hear Phil's bass on Albare's "Dream Time" album recorded in 2015. Like his teacher, the late Ray Brown, Phil has an infectious downbeat that gets the audience to actively listen and more often than not, get off their chairs.

Steve Sedergreen is one of Melbourne's jazz identities, known as a leading pianist, arranger, and educator. Steve's passion for teaching jazz as well as his unique hands-on approach uses the best of both worlds - combining music theory with the practicalities of performance experience. Steve formed Mistaken Identity in 1985 while studying at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) and led it through numerous incarnations, line-ups and produced five recordings.

Trumpeter Mat Jodrell is one of the most exciting voices in Jazz today just returned to Australia after spending 8 years in New York. Mat has performed with the likes of Benny Golson, Ron Carter, Herbie Hancock, Carl Allen, Bill Watrous and Gary Bartz to name but a few.

On drums Felix Bloxsom, long time resident of Los Angeles and New York. Along his journey Felix has toured and recorded with greats such as Sia, Mika, Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson, Empire Of The Sun, Bob Moses, Barney McAll and many more.
