Yusupha Ngum and the Affia Band have been praised for their festival performances. Yusupha originally hails from the Gambia, where he has won awards. He is the son of Musa Ngum, the legendary pioneer of mbalax music.

Never one to rest, MISTA MONK has a swag of collaborations on the go. His recent work with Inkswel (BBE Records) has seen him appearing on joints with J Dilla affiliates Frank Nitti and Illa J, Misumami, and local veteran Nfa Jones on international labels including Berlin’s Sonar Kollektiv, with forthcoming music in conjunction with Sydney producer Godriguez’ band Godtet, and a European tour with Adelaide duo Planetself performing at Europe’s biggest hip-hop festival Hip-Hop Kemp in the Czech Republic, and club shows in Amsterdam, London, and Berlin
