A Man Called Son (AMCS) is the ongoing project of Simon Pearlman. Conceived in Brisbane (Australia), Simon (guitars/vox/keys and other instruments) initially created AMCS as a home studio project. After a relocation to Melbourne and various lineups over the years, AMCS has released three albums, several EPs, and a plethora of additional material. The "fourth-coming" album 'Timebombs in the Sea' is due for release in November 2022. The melancholy, downbeat atmosphere of first single 'What We Had' was later followed by a second, faster yet still downbeat single 'Plateau' in 2021. Both received rave reviews and drew comparisons to fellow natives The Church and The Go-Betweens.
