Samba da Saudade is a roda de samba - which literally means "samba circle". At rodas de samba musicians gather around a table to play and sing classic sambas together. Roda de samba is a beloved tradition all across Brazil, happening in backyards, bars, streets, and beyond, with the crowd joining in by singing along and clapping to the rhythm. Born out of Afro-Brazilian culture, it’s one of the country’s most iconic celebrations. This is a free event, and everyone is welcome to join in and celebrate the beauty of Brazilian traditional music.
