Written by Elizabeth:

We talked about the Vienna Art & Design exhibition. Our guest, Gina, from the NGV, knew her stuff; the history of Vienna at the turn of the second-last century, and what ground-breaking ideas were circulating in science, philosophy, and art at that time. Dave's already been to the exhibition, I'm going soon. 50,000 visitors already. Wild! After the show I sought to balance out the art & beauty talk with a visit to the cinema to see Snowtown. It is an excellent film. Flawless performances, perfectly ugly lighting and set design, a depiction of fucked up, dispossessed Australia at its finest. I returned home, ate dahl on toast, congratulated Marian on getting her nose-bleed exhibition approval, and did some study. Then I fell asleep. Then I woke up for two and a half hours with a panicked mind, then I fell asleep again, then I woke up to the alarm at 5.30am which put me in angry frame of mind which I remedied with a green juice and a bowl of oats. Presently I find myself at the kitchen table, sipping green tea like a damn good girl, waiting for chickpea curry to cook, and thinking of nice things to do with the rest of my week.
