Having worked in São Paulo for several years at an institution promoting Japanese culture in Brasil, sound artist Yama Yuki is back home in Tokyo. He contributes a beautiful extended mix to Frantic Items drawing on ambient and drone textures. Last year Yuki released Inverted Cities on Good Morning Tapes and an album as Soagahukau with Kentaleaux Nakajima for Midira Records. He talks about his time working overseas, upcoming musical projects, and the capacity for sound to calm down the nervous system while living in a hyper-urbanised environment.
