The founding members of the Romany supergroup Taraf de Haïdouks are back with a new band: Taraf de Caliu. The Romanian collective are the last generation of lăutari (folk musicians) performing authentic traditional music from the region. Ahead of their performance at WOMADelaide Sista BB dials into two different time zones to talk to band founder Michel Winter and record label head Larisa Perde about how the project emerged.
