The Glasshouse: Hidden Disabilities with Appearance Activist Carly Findlay

Beth AQ speaks to writer, speaker and appearance activist Carly Findlay, who’s just released her memoir, Say Hello. Carly, who has a rare skin condition called Ichthyosis, talks about growing up with a visibly different appearance; how, far too often, the onus is on the disabled to somehow ‘fit in’; and why it’s so important – thus the book’s title – to greet her with a simple ‘hello’ rather than a rude question.
