Hugo Race joins Neil Rogers on The Australian Mood with stories from a floating studio in Florence, where the first foundations of the latest Hugo Race Fatalists album, I Made It All Up For You, took shape.

Hugo talks about handing ideas over to the Fatalists, and how the Italian band build and expand on his musical threads.

With touring, collaborations and another Dirtmusic record underway, he and Neil reflect on still getting to do what they love after all these years.

I Made It All Up For You is out now.
