Summer Breakfasters: We Are What We Eat

It’s no secret that we’re fascinated by the myriad aspects of food. For many of us, it isn’t just sustenance, it’s a mirror that reflects who we are. But what we eat – and how it’s produced – is mostly unsustainable, and is bad for the planet. Festival 21 hopes to change all that by exploring food culture and the various ways we can change how we eat, one bite at a time. Festival director Imogen Thomas speaks to Summer Breakfasters about the festival, food from scratch, Indigenous ingredients, and much more.
