Sudo Girls Talk with Lizzy Kuoth on The Glasshouse
We all have days where we don’t feel quite right. We may feel weak, vulnerable or fragile. Lizzy Kuoth, performer and youth leader, joins Beth AQ in The Glasshouse to chat about how these feelings evolved into an interest for poetry and spoken word. Lizzy has used poetry to find the beauty in fragility and has realised that even as a leader she doesn’t have to be strong all of the time. Her poetry reflects her passions for social justice and politics, and she hopes that she will be able to inspire other young people to get involved and make a difference. Lizzy will be performing at Sudo Girls Talk! A Night of Music and Poetry, celebrating the talented women in the South Sudanese community, happening as part of the Darebin Music Feast.
