Dr Damon Alexander, a Senior Lecturer in Politics and Public Policy at Swinburne University, joins guest Spin Cycle host Ben Eltham to discuss the leadership change in the Victorian Labor party, and the appointment of new Premier Ben Carroll.

Damon speaks on the internal decision-making, factional bosses and changing support within Victorian Parliament which led to Jacinta Allan's resignation, as well as reflecting on her time as Premier and how we might remember her Government's achievements and scandals.

Describing Ben Carroll as "articulate and ambitious", Damon sees a possible rebalancing of government with Ben Carroll coming from the Right faction of the Victorian Labor Party. Ben and Damon also discuss Labor's fate going into the Novemeber State Election.
