Shannon and The Clams are a garage punk quartet that take all the best parts of doo-wop and R&B to create exciting and infectious music. Vocalist Shannon Shaw joins Neon Sunset to chat with Annaliese about her life and how pulling off Roy Orbison’s ‘Crying’ at a karaoke night became the start of her music career. Shannon also speaks about recording with The Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach after he messaged her on Instagram, bugging her to get to Nashville. The recording process was a constant battle of self-doubt and feeling like she didn’t deserve to be there, which led Shannon to lean on the philosophy of faking it till you make it.
