The United Nations Educational Scientific Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) has again recommended that our natural wonder the Great Barrier Reef be added to its In Danger list, citing the recent impacts of climate change as serious threats to its future. This follows UNESCO’s recommendation in June last year for the Reef to be placed on the list.
