Radio Marinara: Inside The Fight To Save Cape Bridgewater
Nestled in the south-western corner of the state, Cape Bridgewater is a beautiful and vital part of Victoria’s coastline. Part of the Discovery Bay Marine National Park, the Cape is considered the second most important stretch of coast in Victoria and is popular among locals and tourists for its seal colonies, petrified forest and the Great Southwest Walk. However, locals are concerned by a proposed resort with a prominent cliffside position and 27-metre-tall residential buildings. Mary Picard from the Save Cape Bridgewater Association tells Radio Marinara about the group’s fight to preserve the cape.
