Primal Screen: Director Peter Strickland On His Gaseous New Film 'Flux Gourmet'

British director Peter Strickland (In Fabric, The Duke of Burgundy) calls into Primal Screen to discuss his fantastically bizarre new film Flux Gourmet. Set in a world where “sonic catering”, the act of making sounds from food, is a respected and lucrative art form, the film follows an emerging troupe as they take up a residency in a lavish artistic institution dedicated to furthering culinary performance art. Peter chats to the team about the film’s origins in his own sonic catering exploits and discusses the motifs and themes that recur throughout the odd and hermetic worlds he creates in his films.

Flux Gourmet is in theatres from 8 September.
