Plato’s Cave Makes Trouble with John Waters

The flamboyant and irresistible John Waters, writer and director of such classics as Pink Flamingos, Crybaby, Polyester and Female Trouble, has a friendly chat with Plato’s Cave’s super-fan Sally Christie ahead of his one-man show Make Trouble Friday evening at Hamer Hall. From the rise of VHS and its effects of midnight movie culture, to going from being reviled by critics to being embraced, and to how good a job the Criterion Collection is doing restoring his films, John tells all (except for his Top Ten film list for 2019, which is a closely guarded secret).
