Max Headroom: Revisit the Magnificence that Was Beloved Rockin' Bluesman Chris Wilson

Max Crawdaddy and Neil Rogers pay tribute to the legendary Chris Wilson, sharing two rare live recordings from 1995 and 1998 that showcase his brilliance as a singer, songwriter, harp and sax player. Chris was the ultimate musician’s musician. His on-stage presence was enormous and he played alongside many of Australia’s best musos, sometimes as the compelling frontman capable of searing, heartfelt vocals and harp performances but just as willing to let others take centre-stage, with his able support.

Max and Neil share their memories of Chris’ contributions to the local music scene and play two amazing live sets from the archives. On the Big Day Out in 1995, live from the RRR stage, along with Chris Rogers on bass, Peter Luscombe on drums and Shane O’Mara on guitar, Chris and the band played a killer set that encapsulates the sheer talent, energy and tenderness of his live performances. They then treat us to three songs from a live set at the Dan O’Connell Hotel in 1998.
