Mark Seymour and Emily Goddard on the Ruggedness of Australian Storytelling
Lamb is the new play from multi-award winning playwright Jane Bodie, which tells the story of an Australian family living on a remote sheep farm and the changes that take place over each generation. Lead actor Emily Goddard and Australian music legend Mark Seymour (who provided music for the play) join Rashele McHugh on Room with a View to chat about Lamb’s cutting narrative, the creative spontaneity that drove its production and the themes of isolation, hardship and persistence, which seem to have pervaded Australian storytelling for decades. Lamb is currently showing at Red Stitch Actor’s Theatre.
