Writer and critic Laura Elizabeth Woollett joins Mel Fulton to talk Hell Days, a book about Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) and cyclical suffering.

Woollett is wary of confession for confession’s sake. Instead, she follows PMDD through medicine, history and true crime, using distance and research to get closer to something intensely personal.

She talks about the women who shaped early research into the condition, and why writing the book while pregnant changed it.
