Get Down: Hiatus Kaiyote On Mood Valiant, Triple R’s Album Of The Week
Hiatus Kaiyote’s new album Mood Valiant is out in the world. Bass player Paul Bender chats to Chris about the making of their third studio album. He says recording an album is difficult as there is no fixed formula, each song is unique, multidimensional and takes time to develop. Parts of the album are somewhat raw, as he says it’s refreshing for people to hear some humanness in a recording. For Paul, the big difference of this album is its cohesion as a body of work. He says that the songs have more emotional depth and are less flashy due to the experience of the band riding the rollercoaster of what life throws at you.
