Three-piece Indonesian funk band Ali join Chris on Get Down in the studio while they are in Australia for their debut tour. Ali combines their Middle Eastern culture with 70s Indonesian-funk, afrobeats and disco to create a new sound with a south-east Asian twist. Their shared musical interests and references is what led to Ali being formed, with it originally starting out as a side project for the members of the group.

The band chat to Chris about their recently released single ‘Crystal Sand’ which is described as their most upbeat track, and their last single before the upcoming debut album is released in mid April.
