Einstein A Go-Go: What Is Australia’s Role In Vaccinating The World?
Tim Costello, spokesperson for the End COVID For All campaign, joins Dr Shane to discuss a new report, A SHOT OF HOPE: Australia’s role in vaccinating the world. As it stands, many nations in the global south will not be vaccinated until the end of 2030. However, this new report reveals that nations in the global north actually have the capacity to secure a worldwide 90% vaccination rate over the next year if we distribute already available resources in a more just way. In this new report, epidemiologists explore the role that Australia could play in securing this goal as a producer of the AstraZeneca vaccine, and as a country that is at the stage of distributing booster shots to an already largely vaccinated population.
