Interview

Eat It Catches Up With Maha’s Shane Delia, Destination Gippsland’s Lyndel Moore, and Attica’s Ben Shewry

Cam and Matt speak to Shane Delia, owner/chef of Maha and Biggie Smalls, about Providoor, a food delivery app designed to put money back in the pockets of restaurants. Tired and frustrated with the current model of food delivery, Shane launched the app after getting some of Melbourne’s top restaurants on board. “I think the real key was that I’m an insider,” Shane tells Eat It. “I’m not a parasite trying to feed on the carcass of the industry. So they trust me, and I will do the right thing by the brand.”

Later in the show, the crew talk to Destination Gippsland’s Lyndel Moore about rebuilding the hospitality and tourism industry in East Gippsland following the bushfires, and Attica’s Ben Shewry about how his businesses are adapting during the pandemic.
