Since the 1980s, zines have been at the forefront of counterculture. Now in its tenth year, the Festival of the Photocopier Zine Fair is back at it – online this time – and Melbourne’s primary zine resource centre The Sticky Institute is once again spearheading the celebration. Coordinator Sam Riegl chats with Beth AQ about the 2021 incarnation of the festival, how the culture has grown over the years, and what zine culture means in this day and age.
