After a magical set alongside Chai at the Forum earlier this year, Buffalo Daughter quickly return to Australia in December. The group’s guitarist Sugar Yoshinaga joins Frantic Items to reflect on the evolution of the Buffalo Daughter sound, which has always responded to the socio-technological situation of the moment. Latest album We Are The Times reimagines the sampling technique and humour from their early career with analogue tools, a focus that extends to the live show. On translation and co-host duties is Christine Natsumi Daly, former guest on the show. With a special cameo from Yoshinaga’s parrots Popcorn and Pillow in Tokyo.
