Journalist and author Jill Stark (Happy Never After, High Sobriety) returns to book shelves with When You’re Not OK, a primer on self-care and overcoming emotional struggle. Jill speaks to the Breakfasters team about the tips and nuggets of wisdom on offer, from accepting that ‘happiness’ is a transient state of being, that the human condition is made up of a lot of different emotions, and that there isn’t a person alive in this world who doesn’t struggle in some way (regardless of what you might see on Instagram).
