Albert Wiggan on The Rap

Albert Wiggan, co-producer of Undermined: Tales From the Kimberley, joins Areej Nur on The Rap. Wiggan says that the Kimberly can be described as ‘undermined’ for two reasons: the first is that the region is yet to be mined and exploited for its natural resources, and the second is the undermining of the Indigenous peoples, along with their culture and home. This new documentary, screening as part of the MIFF, explores how mining companies plan to exploit the Kimberly region for economic benefit while disregarding Indigenous communities’ connection to Country.
