This week on Twang, Denise dedicates the show to the late 'Queen of Country' Dolly Parton.

Dolly was an American Country Music legend, songwriter, actor and philanthropist, whose 'Imagination Library' donated more than 300,000,000 books to children around the world.

Denise traces Dolly's roots from her childhood in Eastern Tennessee, singing on the local radio station, and plays some of her early songs and performances.

Moving then to her musical collaborations, feminist anthems and speaking generally to her generosity as a human, Denise maps Dolly's life through some of her most significant music.

Also, hear the interview with Dolly and Denise which aired on Triple R in December 2013 ahead of her 2014 tour of Australia.

In Dolly's own words, "this dumb blonde ain't nobody's fool".
