To mark the release day of her fifth album Villian, prolific Naarm/Melbourne artist, producer, and DJ Simona Castricum returns to the RRR Performance Space for a live set, hosted by Fee B-Squared of Maps.
A defining voice in Melbourne/Naarm's underground, Simona Castricum fuses post-punk and dream-pop with classic synth-wave sounds. Co-produced with Sui Zhen and engineered by Screensaver's Jonnine Nokes, Villain is Castricum's most political and subversive work since 2020's Panic/Desire, mapping queer relationships across utopian and dystopian urban landscapes.
