Pop Preservation Society is proud to present an intimate night at Jimmy Hornet with local rock legends, Victor Stranges & The Methinks. They will be bringing their melodic post-punk kitchen sink drama to the stage. Also appearing will be Melbourne singer-songwriter, Liliana.
Victor Stranges & The Methinks will be performing with a new lineup including Mike Dupp (keyboards), James Lockwood (bass) and Frank Scalzo (drums/vocals). Stranges’ album, “Hello Me To You”, was named as one of the Best Albums of 2009 by Pop Underground, which is a community of writers, musicians, industry observers and fans united in their love of insanely great popular music. The band will be playing a retrospective of songs from Stranges’ twenty plus year career.
Twenty-four year old singer and pianist, Liliana, will be opening the night with her brand of soul inspired dream pop. Liliana’s haunting vocals and musical styling seamlessly weaves her original songs with the occasional rendering of classic pop.
