Pop Preservation Society is proud to present an intimate night at Jimmy Hornet with locals, Victor Stranges & The Methinks. They will be bringing their melodic post-punk kitchen sink drama to the stage. Also appearing will be Melbourne singer-songwriter, Liliana.

Victor Stranges & The Methinks will be performing with a new lineup including Mike Dupp (keyboards), James Lockwood (bass) and Frank Scalzo (drums/vocals). Stranges’ album, “Hello Me To You”, was named as one of the Best Albums of 2009 by Pop Underground, which is a community of writers, musicians, industry observers and fans united in their love of insanely great popular music. The band will be playing a retrospective of songs from Stranges’ twenty plus year career.

Twenty-four year singer and pianist, Liliana, will be opening the night with her brand of soul inspired dream pop. A wonderful storyteller, Liliana’s haunting vocals and musical styling seamlessly weaves her original songs with the occasional rendering of classic pop.
