The Footscray Hotel Choir is a vibrant, big‑hearted village ensemble with deep roots in Melbourne’s west. Since 2020, they’ve gathered every week at their beloved home base, The Footscray Hotel — a historic and soulful rehearsal space where harmonies mingle with the clink of pots and pints.
Guided by Lloyd O’Hanlon, a professional singer and folklorist, the choir has grown across many musical eras and venues to find its wholesome, resonant sound, and is currently drawing on Georgian and Italian folk music.
Come on down to the Brunswick Artists Bar to be serenaded with love songs, celebrations, poignant laments and haunting liturgical numbers. With the rise of Artificial Intelligence-generated music, and as data centres spring up around the suburbs of Melbourne, there has never been a better time to connect to real folk music sung by real people. Join us and immerse yourself for this free event, and remind yourself of what's really important.

Born from open jams and mezcal-fuelled Silver Lake nights, ORLANDO blends whimsical indie pop, surf rock and Laurel Canyon folk with loose, nostalgic joy. Formed in LA and now based in Melbourne, the band is bringing its long-brewing catalogue home.
