After clocking the East African restaurants of Footscray, collaborating with indigenous groups in Alice Springs and playing more music festivals in Australia than we can count, LEONA KAKIMA has come to force ably shake your little brittle hips till they wont shake no more. His rare breed of D.I.Y Congolese dance music is truly a visceral experience, made to be appreciated live along with his multi lingual MC style performance.

We also have the incredible saxophone toting duo of SLEEPER & SNAKE whose latest release FRESCO SHED has been played far too many times in my morning commute to work. An outsider folk whirlwind splashed with right amount of tenderness and experimentation.

The relativity new outfit of 6, SILVER, bring you their wall-of-noise rock n roll. Chugging through the musical lickings of bo-diddly and other early american pioneers. Sitting on your pallet like a burnt out psychedelic dream, they leave that metallic taste in your mouth, oh so bittersweet. AG47.

To cap it off, Tom Ridgewell of Constant Mongrel, Woolen Kittens and Calamari Girls swings his axe and the comfortingly familiar yet new sounds of his solo project TB RIDGE AS THE DIRECTOR emerge. Rock'n'roll 101 but with drum machines, synths, vocoder and strings.
