King Con: comics, games and pop culture

Kingston Libraries is hosting a comic-con style event at Cheltenham Library on Saturday 27 May from 10.00am – 4.00pm.

King Con is an all-ages event for those interested in comics, games and pop culture.

There will be several guests in attendance, including the author and illustrator behind the children’s book series ‘Real Pigeons’, comic artist Dean Rankine, members of the Rebel Legion and 501st Legion, Exodus Battle LARP, Southern Rogues Saber Corps and local business Boss Boardgames.

There will also be storytime, facepainting, Minecraft, craft workshops, Mario Kart, Jackbox games, board games, Dungeons & Dragons, VR, LEGO® and more.

Everyone is invited to come in costume and take part in the cosplay parade to show off their creative flair and possibly win a prize for best dressed.

A food truck and coffee van will be present to satisfy the snacking needs of attendees.

The event is free, and no bookings are required to attend. There are selected activities that will require bookings on the day – please see concierge at Cheltenham Library on the day.

There will be limited parking onsite, so we encourage people to take public transport, carpool, walk or cycle.
