A FREE event of indie-folk-pop tunes from Melbourne-based singer-songwriter band BLUE WINDOWS playing songs from their first and their soon to be released 2nd studio album.
Sweet grooves with some sizzeling harmonica solos and the occassional ukulele, Blue Windows combine folk-fun and heart-warming tunes, spiced up with a dash of country, folk-pop and bluesy tones.
They capture their audiences with quirky themes and perspectives highlighting their song writing style.
Using personal experiences as a source of inspiration for their latest album Borders, 'Monday Mornings in May' entered the Top 30 of the Australian Songwriter’s competition.
Combining melodic tunes with insightful captures of human behaviour, their songs are intimate, warm and inspired by artists such as Paul Kelly, James Taylor, and The Waifs.
Blue Windows supported Alex Smith from Moving Pictures and have played many venues around Geelong, Bellarine, the Surf Coast and Melbourne such as the Workers Club, The Wesley Anne, The Tramways Hotel and the Door Gallery Café.
Tonight they will be supported by emerging folk rock singer Leo Nazz.
