The award-winning Blackwood Woodchop & Easter Carnival offers a fun, action-packed day out for the whole family! Now in its 121st year, the event features one of the oldest woodchopping competitions in Victoria, attracting axemen & women from across the state. The Carnival begins with a Street Parade, followed by a host of activities including tug-o-war, gumboot throwing & pet show. Loads of fun stuff for kids – treasure hunt, novelty games and races, face-painting and more. With fabulous live music from Pete Daffy Trio, Greater Glider Stringband, Hardrive bluegrass band & Gumbo Zydeco band, along with market stalls, delicious eats and licenced bars, the Blackwood Woodchop and Easter Carnival truly offers something for everyone. All set against the beautiful backdrop of Blackwood Recreation Reserve “the prettiest sportsground in Victoria”. Early bird discounted tickets ($12.50) are available for a limited time.
