The spicy acid-jazz outfit known as AstroVillain is coming to Colour on July 28th to launch their debut EP “Cosmic Operations (Part 1)”.

This five-piece blends their own brand of funk-fusion and planetary ambience, creating a unique sound that has grooved its way into the heart of Melbourne’s underground future-jazz scene.

AstroVillain’s new four-track release captures the mystical vibe of the great beyond through a collection of spine-tingling rhythms, dirty riffs and enticing melodies.

Conor Anderson-Vague - Drums

Daniel McKenzie - Keys/Synth/Vocoder

Lawson Kennard - Bass

Ash Griffin - Guitar

Zeb Fernandez - Percussion

Joining the stage on the evening is Mad Vantage, an exciting new instrumental project which explores the sounds of prog-metal fused with nu-jazz and electronics. Fronted by SOLUNE (Selene Messinis - keyboards/synthesizers), this killer line-up also features Kumar Some (guitar/effects), Matt Hayes (electric bass) and Tim Cox (drums/electronics).
