Australian Synchroton is Australia’s largest research and science facility.
Take part in tours of the facility and its inner workings and talk to scientists about their work in areas as diverse as nanotechnology, biotechnology, advanced materials, climate change, forensic science, geology and art.

at the Australian Synchrotron Open Day, Blackburn Road, Clayton
Entry to the Australian Synchrotron Open Day is free but bookings are essential.

In case you were wondering... The Australian Synchrotron's light is generated from electricity. Radioactive material, such as cobalt, is not used to produce light in the facility.
On Open Day, the synchrotron will not be generating light.
