Simran Sethi is a journalist & educator focused on food, sustainability & social change. She joins Michelle Bennett on Spoke to discuss her book Bread, Wine, Chocolate: The Slow Loss of Foods We Love which is to be published in November this year. She speaks extensively on the topic of agro-biodiversity which involves the plants and animals that we consume, the outputs that go into them and everything that is part of the links that get food from the soil onto our plates. Some of her accolades include hosting forums with Al Gore, appearances on Oprah and The Ellen De Generes show along with being named “the environmental eco-messenger” by Vanity Fair and a top ten “eco-hero” by The Independent.
