EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: Live to Air Coordinator/Music Assistant
Position Details
4 days per week, 6-month parental leave vacancy.
General Description:
This position is a broad-ranging role responsible for various tasks within Triple R’s music department and for coordinating the station’s live-to-air music performances, and other events and broadcasts as required. All Triple R staff members report to the Station Manager.
Main Duties and responsibilities:
- Live-to Air, Outside Broadcast, and Event Coordination
- Coordination of Music Volunteers
- APRA Reporting
- Music Library Coordination
- Weekly Tasks within the Music Department
- Uploading Web Content
- Music Festival Interview Coordination
- Providing support to Broadcasters, Music Coordinator and Program Manager
- General requirements as an employee of Triple R Broadcasters Ltd.
Selection Criteria:
Essential
- A strong knowledge and appreciation of independent music.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Computer literate including web content maintenance skills
Desirable
- Broadcasting Experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of 3RRR and/or experience in community broadcasting
- Experience within a live music environment
- Event management experience
- Experience working with volunteers
- Experience writing/acquitting grants
- Appropriate qualifications
