Thursday 22nd June @ The Nicholas Building
The Nicholas Building is opening its doors to the public this June for one night only, as part of the City of Melbourne’s Winter Events program.
The Nicholas Building is heritage-listed and dedicated to Melbourne’s art and culture scene. Throughout the year, it is home to an eclectic mix of artists, designers, makers and small businesses who innovate inside the historic walls.
This one-off event extends an invitation to Melburnians to explore the building and meet the artistic people involved.
On June 22, the nine-storey building will present the work of creatives such as Kimono House, Dario Vacirca, Gaylene Carbis and more. Boutique stores Kuwaii, Obus and Vintage Sole will also be open on the night.
Upon entry, the Nicholas Building Association asks for a gold coin donation, and in return you are treated to a warming cup of mulled wine and an event map to help navigate your evening. There will also be various refreshment stations throughout the building.
If you’re feeling adventurous, the association says the top floor of the building will have something delightfully surprising to discover.
