How did you first connect with Triple R?
Hearing the Beastie Boys on a very old transistor radio, outside by the pool, drinking a mocktail.
What/when was your first show?
This is both our first show. We were thrilled to bits. We just love words.
What's your favourite Triple R story?
Interviewing Michael Leunig was wonderful. When Alicia and I interviewed Henry Rollins and after ten minutes he looked us both in the eyes for the rest of the interview. Laughing with Alicia.
Your favourite other Triple R program and why?
So many, but I love 'Radiotherapy'. And I thought The Young Doctors made medicine sexy...
What does Triple R mean to you?
Solid, enlightening, passionate radio.
The studio door has accidentally jammed shut with you stuck inside. If there was only one CD in there with you what would you want it to be and why?
Our Souls Have Grown Deep Like the Rivers. A double CD must have. With the likes of Maya Angelou, Amiri Baraka, Langston Hughes it's a wonderful tribute to the spoken word.
The Muppets v Henry Rollins?
Easy. All over in the first round. Knockout blow by The Muppets.
