Presents Dirty Deeds
How did you first connect with Triple R?
Many moons ago when I was a teenage listener (we are talking the 80s here).
What/when was your first show?
Dirty Deeds had its conception as a summer fill in the summer of 2004 /2005 and we really got down and dirty in about August 2006.
What's your favourite Triple R story?
I guess this story isn't so much funny as nostalgic. The first Dirty Deeds show took place in the old Victoria street studios in Fitzroy; we were one of the last shows to air there. The next week we were in the spanking new East Brunswick studios, a bit of a mind f@#k really, what a juxtaposition but we took it in our stride.
Your favourite other Triple R program and why?
I went with my first gut response as I am a fan of many shows but Tim Thorpe and Vital Bits gets my vote as often it is vital that I hear a little bit of RRR in the early morning of a weekend and especially a little bit of Julie London.
What does Triple R mean to you?
Unconditional (Love) to its listeners.
The studio door has accidentally jammed shut with you stuck inside. If there was only one CD in there with you what would you want it to be and why?
I could say anything by Shirley Bassey because I can sing along to many of her ditties (sad but true.) Seriously, I think I'd like to be locked in the studio with The Saints I'm Stranded apart from the obvious association, I'd really sing along to the point where someone would hear me even in a sound proof booth and if my singing didn't attract them then my air guitar would. I also think that in between tracks I could easily take listener talkback on the finer points of the album and fill a three hour slot if I had to.
Who came up with the name for your show?
It was me no matter what Digga says, his best name was 'Eats,Roots and Leaves' we've all heard that one. Is it a boy thing because Laurel and I unprompted and in unison said enough!
